So today I figured out that I have some sort of infection in the backside of my forearm. It looks very nasty and sometimes oozes yellow liquid, but it doesn't hurt. It very swollen too. I think that it maybe MRSA or a staph infection from football, we are waiting for the test results to come back from the doctor. Maybe I got an open wound and then some dirt, sweat, and other peoples nastyness got in there and formed this infection. It all started by looking like a little blemish on my elbow. Like a pimple or something. So like a normal teenage boy I try to pop it and see how much it'll explode, but nothing came out. So I left it alone for a couple days. Then it became a little swollen one night. I thought nothing of it. The next day it was huge, itched like crazy and was red all around its head. I tried to pop it and only blood came out. No pus or anything. The next day I went to school. I got everyones opinion on it and I finally decided to tell my mom after 5 days. She took me straight to the doctor. The doctor was closed so we just called, they thought it was a spider bite. So all we did was put warm water on it and try to pop it. There was a lot of blood but no pus. I slept that night and went to the doctor the next morning. They told us that it is more serious than a spider bite, that it was an infection and they may have to draw the pus out of the area. Right from there is where all the treatment started; I got shots within 5 minutes of finding out it was an infection. They gave me antibiotics to take. They gave me an antibiotic ointment. The doctor said that if it turns out to be MRSA I will have to be hospitalized for 3-5 days. The worst part about this infection is that I can't play football for the whole week and I have to make up all my school work.
I don't understand why teachers give homework. Why do they get paid money for us to have to do work on our own. Why can't we do it all in school? With this new moodle all the students could just stay at home and do their homework from their house and just email the "teachers" or school our assignments. Also another thing, why does every student have to learn the same thing. Students who excel in Science, but are awful at U.S. History, should stick to Sciences and Math to set them up for their future career. A doctor does not care whether the Atlantic Ocean is east or west of the U.S. Or when Columbus discovered the New world. All they need to know is what kind of medicines or treatments a patient should undergo.
